Llaiyaraaja

Western influenced world jams always come out sounding just a little bit off...and in the best possible way.  Check out the sampler of music from Bombay Connection's latest compilation, a smorgasbord of 80's synths and beats from Indian films composed by South Indian musician Llaiyaraaja.  "Fire Star:  Synth-Pop and Electro-Funk from Tamil Films 1985-1989" is everything you would expect it to be...absolutely insane and incredibly awesome.  Get the CD here, and look for the vinyl soon, and listen to the sampler below.
